Clean to make French bread rolls. The dough can be made in a mixer, bread maker, or using hand. Loaves or rolls may be brushed earlier than baking with a glaze of one crushed egg white blended with 1 tablespoon water if desired.
Components
- 1 ½ cups heat water (one hundred ten levels F/45 ranges C)
- 1 tablespoon lively dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Four cups bread flour
Directions
Step 1
In a huge bowl, stir together warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let stand till creamy, approximately 10 mins.
Step 2
To the yeast mixture, add the oil, salt, and 2 cups flour. Stir inside the ultimate flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until the dough has pulled faraway from the perimeters of the bowl. Turn out onto a gently floured floor, and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 mins. Lightly oil a huge bowl, place the dough inside the bowl, and flip to coat. Cowl with a humid fabric, and let upward thrust in a heat region till doubled in volume, approximately 1 hour.
Step 3
Deflate the dough, and turn it out onto a lightly floured floor. Divide the dough into 16 identical portions, and form into spherical balls. The area on lightly greased baking sheets is a minimum of 2 inches apart. Cover the rolls with a moist material, and let rise until doubled in volume, about 40 mins. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 levels C).
Step 4
Bake for 18 to twenty mins within the preheated oven, or
until golden brown.
